It is always a shock to me to see such a large fish being swallowed whole....almost like a snake that takes prey much larger than seems possible. Great series

Great behavior set Thao. That is one beautiful rainbow trout. Its also a fishermen's dream to catch one of those that size on light tackle or with a fly rod.

Great job capturing the action, Thao! Cormorants always amaze me with their ability to down fish that appear to be almost as large as themselves!

Incredible. Hard for me to believe that after swallowing a fish that size there is room for the cormorant's heart/lungs to function. Or that it could breathe while swallowing it. If you told me I would not have believed it.
