how big was the bird in the actual photo? I only ask because a 300mm isnt that long a stretch. Your photo is fabulous which is what caused me to ask....

Hi Herb, this owl was not baited when I took the shot. There was baiting in the area but I personally did not bait them. I would need to put the bait on my head to make an owl come at me like that.
Also ethics is a personal thing, it's like preaching a religion. If you think a photo is unethical to your liking, it is best not to comment IMO because you don't know the circumstances and the facts

Hi Herb, this is about 50% of the original. the lens is short but I was pretty close to the owl, which tolerated my presence.
