Excellent set... love them all. Any chance these are from the San Juan Islands? The old fox in #6 looks just like one I shot there a few years ago. My image is very different, but it looks like the same weathered and wise old guy.

Doug, thanks! Yes. It might be the same guy. He did have a manner about him that made me feel that he was pretty wise about things. Of course, the same could probably be said for all the adult foxes.

One can never see too many of this species when the photography is this good. The varied morphology (physical traits) of the parents are pups is so striking...
Like others, I'd love to have the opportunity you had... it's been 20 years since I've had the pleasure of photographing a fox den over the course of a month.
