To beat the heat, I've been walking her earlier in the day as the summer progresses.
Thanks to our recent heat wave, I finally started her walk before sunrise this morning and even then, it was mildly uncomfortable due to the heat and the humidity at 5:00 am.
Of course, Abby didn't care about the weather one bit:

Perhaps dogs bring out the better parts of us, imbuing humans with grace and compassion. May I suggest InnomnateViem that you go look at artistic nudity, or, perhaps acquire and live with a dog.

how sad of a statement Perhaps dogs bring out the better parts of us, imbuing humans with grace and compassion.
the suffering of man should imbue humans with compassion for his fellow man, not some animal or pet. on the flip side of that coin. dogs have been used through out human history to bring out the worst aspects of human character and man's inhumanity to his fellow man, eg. the Civil Rights Movement or the conquering of the americas by the europeans comes to mind.
May I suggest InnomnateViem that you go look at artistic nudity, not possible on fm. nudity and linking to nudity has been censored on fm. band by the supposed morality of the one, over the desire of the many.
perhaps acquire and live with a dog. ain't gonna happen. i'm allergic to dogs. besides, a dog is not required to imbue this human being with grace and compassion for his fellow man.
