Great shots. I am a newbie to macro. Lots of dragonflies near where I live. I have been doing a lot of trying to get shots like these. I have one question: How in the world do you get so close to these guys without them flying off? With a 60 mm lens, even with the 2X crop factor of the 4/3, you have to be just a few inches away.

I look for one that is staying perched. I approach very slowly at the same level / height it is perched . I have my camera in front of me the entire time. If you get close and then raise your camera , you will scare it off . I start off a little bit away and very gradually work my way closer. I try not to cast a shadow on it.
I also have been known to talk softly to them and thank them for the time they let me spend
