A drizzly morning with just a sliver open in the sky. The sun disappeared under the clouds halfway during the 30 seconds exposure. I think this made the reflection of the sun softer in both the sea and the wet boulders.
Shot on 4x5 Portra 160 (slightly cropped), 30s at f32, 80 mm Schenider XL super symmar lens
If you're interested I made a little video about the shot, on location. I especially hope someone finds it inspiring.
What a beautiful landscape! I am a sucker for long exposures, as I like the ghostly patterns cast on rocks as the water ebbs and flows. As you stated, the long exposure softens the sun and produces a lovely glow on the water.
Excellent!
