It has a Recessive brown eye gene. I few of them have it. Nice shots

Here is my 2nd entry which I cheated a little with PS and combined two images from a burst into one

I liked the one for having both relatively in focus. I liked the other showing the Rufous' gorget but don't like it as much as the Anna's is not in focus.

The Anna's hummingbird stays on Vancouver Island all year round. The Rufous hummingbird migrates. The Rufous despite being smaller is more aggressive and when they return in Mar/Apr they battle for territory with the Anna's. This was one such battle between two females.
