Just got the Canon 500D 77mm achromat (2+ diopter) and with a step down ring (82-77mm) will be testing the 135/1.8 GM at 0.6x mag. once my personal copy arrives at the end of the month.
It should perform very well with a 2+ diopter considering its excellent performance at MFD.

Can you try 500D with Sigma 135 in mean time? :-) You could also compare 500D with extension ring (possibly with TC that might fit with extension ring on)?
Selling used lenses here in Denmark is slow as heck, small country, small market. I’m sure the first wave of 135 GM’s will be long gone before I figure out whether I want to sell my 85 GM for it and actually getting the 85 GM sold.

Don't do that. You need both the 135GM and the 85GM :-)
Just got my "It's still on back-order" email again from B&H, which I assume is standard for pre-orders.
Hopefully B&H ships them on the 30th with 1 day delivery as they've promised.

Woke up way to early today. 13 days. Tick, tock....
Decided to also order the FE 24/1.4 GM a few days later after my pre-order. Who knows if I will ever see that lens. Did not need it right away so I ordered from B&H, actually would be glad if it arrives later to spread out the expense, but I am surprised they simply can't get it. Reminds me of the delays on the Batis 85mm when it first came out.
