Gooseberry Falls, MN...
I visit this waterfall every year in October. On this day (October 12) we had a mix of rain and snow. The lousy weather kept the crowds at bay, but made things extra difficult in the field. The often heavy rain forced me to leave my ND filters in the bag. To get the blur that I desired, I shot 5 images in multiple exposure mode and let the camera combine them... my only disappointment was that a jpeg was made rather than a raw file.
The Z's Multi Exposure mode is indeed useful, agree on the RAW vs JPEG issue though.
Found a country road this morning. Voigtlander 21mm & 12mm. ISO 800 was a leftover mistake from trying to shoot the moon last night... Tried to edit a Z7 image again the other day and just can’t do it. Very happy to have the Z6 back.
I took Monday off to do a quick 3 day trip to Minnesota's North Shore (3.5 hours from my home). My original plans were to travel west to the Badlands for four days, an early snowstorm made travel & camping w/ our tiny trailer difficult.
Anyway, it seems that the storm followed us North and we ended up in a mix of snow and rain. In the end we took an @$$ kicker of a hike through fresh snow up Leveaux Mountain (a lesser traveled destination) and despite a few slips and falls, we were greeted with a lovely overlook. I must say, despite the challenging climb w/ a mix of rocky switch backs, the lighter kit (2 D500's, Z6, 24-70S, 70-200 FLE, 500PFE, and filters) was more comfortable to carry than the 200-400 f/4 w/ D4, and D810, D500, and other lenses that I used to haul up mountains.
cheers,

A king Parrot that comes visiting each year around spring time, which is here in Australia now. He seems to be reasonably used to humans but is still very wild. Found on a thin coastal strip from north eastern Queensland all the way down to Melbourne, Victoria. These birds are not common, but are not really rare either.
Grose Valley at Evan's Lookout, Blue Mountains just west of Sydney, a few kms and about half an hour after the previous shot above which is just to the left valley in this photo.
