There are some great shots here. I recently started shooting a little bit again after several years away. I went with a pretty small kit made up with a Z6 and two pretty modest lenses but finding it does about everything I am looking for at this time. Detail is adequate for my needs and you can push the files all over the place and end up with decent files. I don't want to repost my favorites, so I will post a few average shots from a recent trip just to support that I feel the Z6 is a great all around rig!
Sincerely,
Greg
1. The first is an alpine pond with very early light but the colors are still subtle as I saw them.
2. The lighting was very bright and harsh here, but the details were pretty salvageable with this sensor.
3. This was harsh mixed light and heavy shadows. Again, decent recovery was possible.
4. A lot of contrast to handle at sunrise but handled decently by this sensor.
I think Nikon did a wonderful job with this release!
Sincerely,
Greg
A king Parrot that comes visiting each year around spring time, which is here in Australia now. He seems to be reasonably used to humans but is still very wild. Found on a thin coastal strip from north eastern Queensland all the way down to Melbourne, Victoria. These birds are not common, but are not really rare either.
Capturing this Great Gray Owl was definitely a bucket list shot for me. I have wanted to see one for years, let a lone photograph it. Yesterday I did both. The Z6 did well with this perched owl in front of a couple tamaracks!
