Finally I picked up my Z6 and it is one of most fun cameras I have enjoyed after many years even coming from Leica M, Oly, Sony and Fuji. It just feels great in the hands, it feels Nikon.
I traded in my D750 and kept the D850 for the heavy duty work. I decided to just keep with the FTZ adapter for now as I have the favorite stash of the 28E, 58G and 105E. The 58G with the FTZ is excellent.
Enough talk and some shots just walking out of the store and in the street
Congrats, Charles, and welcome to Club Z6! I'm excited to hear your thoughts on this cool digicam and, of course, see your pics. Will you ever touch the D850 again?

Thank you very much Rico !! Of course the D850 is also a superb camera. The D850 and Z6 perfectly compliment each other.

I thought the same at 1st. Sold the D850 after it sat unused for 6 months.
Hi Luke. This is always the test I use, that if I do not use gear it gets moved on Seriously with the move to Spain I have sold about 15 lenses and culled to the bare minimum.

Congrats Charles! You held out longer than I thought you would! Glad you're liking it! It is a really nice camera that is for sure!

Thank you Corey Yes I did wait for quite some time as I was one of the first to take the Z7 in Australia but I preferred D850 then. The D850 and Z6 combination is ideal as I am also interested in a lot of videos. The other aspect is uploading big files is a pain unless you really need the resolution.
I'm a new poster on the Nikon forum but I've learned a ton by reading through the threads. I've had the Z6 for almost two weeks and I'm finally getting used to the controls after switching from Sony and getting some images I'm happy with. Here's one from a creek near my house.
Great pictures! More I use this lens, more I like it. I used 35S and 85S last weekend to take photos of my wife and Fall colors ,outdoor and I was very pleased with results from both lenses.
For those interested in size comparison of the Z6 and 50/1.8 S compared with the 58/1.4G. The weight of the Z6/Z7 with the FTZ and 58G is slightly lighter. My choice will be the 50/1.8 S but many of us who have many F mount lenses the comparison is very good with the FTZ adapter. This also applies with the 24 and 35 Art lenses particularly when we are comparing f/1.4.
My testing with the 24, 35 and 50 Art lenses have been superb on the Z6, particularly all the quirks often seen on the D850 and D750.
Charles, why did you have to put that 58 back in my mind... I’d finally shook it from @Dj R earlier push. It’d be a lot of fun on my Z6 & Df...

With our move to Spain, with the great deals available I have done the unthinkable and traded my D850 now for another Z6 and other items Travelling and needing to lighten up we now have two Z6's. Marisa is thrilled to have an easy and light system to work with yet fun.
Congratulations on the new camera Charles. I too find that Lighter, smaller is better. The IQ from those cameras is class leading as your images show.
You seem to be enjoying the mirrorless experience for many reasons. Me too. Like you I suffered with giving up my DSLR, but now, am very happy with all things mirrorless.

Function is one thing, but the aesthetics of the FTZ adapter and F mount lenses is not my favorite when compared so clearly against native glass.
