Scrolling through lots of Nikon Z images this morning. You guys are making the Z system look pretty good! But I have to say the lens used in this set of photos has a very distinct look. Really caught my eye. I like it.
My Z6 came back from Nikon Canada today. Body looks like new and the turnaround time was 9 days (considering the gear had to travel more than 3000km each way - I'm impressed). First time ever I also got 'Nikon Technician's QC Report' sheet that outlines 11 steps done during inspection (from cleaning exterior, sensor, checking firmware to confirming focus accuracy and general functions). Overall - I'm really happy.

Does the replacement rubber feel more durable than the original or are they just replacing?

I can't tell any difference - it's not like the original rubber didn't feel durable. The whole 'damage' to it didn't even bother me that much - after a year of use it was just good time to send it in to have it cleaned/checked. It leaves me another year to repeat the process under warranty (if needed).

Charles,
Thank you !!
Below are quick grabs with Contax MM 28/2.8 @2.8, SOOC, no sharpening applied. This combination makes a very lightweigtht, pretty small walk around setup. I love this little lens. With Z6, vignette at 2.8 is pretty strong. Not scientific, but felt like vignetting and the tendency of shift on cooler side was somehow more pronounced than when shooting on D810. It seems the strong field curvature makes both the ornamentation on the tree and the NYSE building in focus at 2.8 .
With all of the current sales on Z kits, I succumbed and purchased the Z6 + 24-70f4 + FTZ adapter. Much to learn, as you can obviously see from the attached image... I was anxious to test my 200-500 on the FTZ adapter, and I normally shoot M mode with Auto ISO. Looking through my efforts in LR, I was amazed to see this was shot at 25,600 ISO (my previous highest setting on the D750 was 12,800). IMHO, this sensor's low light output surpasses that of my D750. Now, I need to master the various autofocus settings... definitely a learning curve there, but one I'm looking forward to!
