Congratulations to seanderson for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 4 votes - View Previous Winners
After my buddy I bailed off the West Face of Leaning Tower, we crashed in Camp 4. Overnight it rained a good amount and I wandered around in the dawn light enjoying the fog lifting, the light playing across Half Dome. This was from a few years ago.
Interesting atmospheric conditions and, in a way, the opposite of what we often see in the early morning in the Valley. A common feature is very low ground fog, perhaps just a few feet deep, and with clarity above. But here the atmosphere almost seems clearer near the ground than higher up.

Fabulous atmosphere!!! I'd be proud to own the shot!
Thank you Mark! I appreciate the kind words! I've been working to learn your post-processing techniques but still have a long way to go to get them in my workflow.

Indeed. I think this is may be due to the storm blowing off and maybe rapid temperature changes? Here are a couple others taken that morning of similar atmosphere.
