Thanks, LLC. Hadn't used the 300 much after getting my 500pf, but decided to use it again and was very satisfied with the results, both bare and with a TC.

I think I would replace it with an excellent condition one. There are plenty of them out there. I bought my AFS 24-120 about 3 years ago (from ebay I think) at the recommendation of our late friend Steve Sinski. No problems with it at all.
