p.1 #1 · Waterfalls in the Blue Mountains, NSW Australia
During my recent trip back to Australia we went up to the Blue Mountains to spend a night with friends. It was pouring rain, chucking down, and I was so excited to hike to a couple of waterfalls and take some photos. My family, not so much
Terrace falls, is a picturesque, medium sized waterfall that does not get tourist traffic. At least not compared to some other popular places in the mountains. I'd read that it's best to visit during rain so I had that going for me. Arriving there, to a breathtaking scene was such a great feeling. Unbelievably, a semblance of sunshine broke through the rain for a few short minutes.
The second waterfall you see posted is called Queens Cascade. I wasn't going to post this cos it's kind of an average waterfall shot but decided to include it as part of the story. This waterfall is literally a hundred meters or so from an enormous plunge down a cliff face, that makes up Wentworth falls (which I didn't have time to shoot).
The last waterfall is at a location called Mermaid's Cave. I didn't actually expect a waterfall here but that all that summer rain created one. Really pretty spot.

Another positive note here. I like them all, but the first is pretty incredible. Looks like an amazing part of the world for sure.

An excellent series with no. 1 being the one with the best balance in composition. The sunlight breakthrough on the water is so beautiful. Nice work.
Thanks all for the positive comments. I was a bit unsure of my processing on #1. It only has a touch of Orton glow, almost not discernible. I have experimented with adding a higher amount of glow, easily discernible and kind of like it too. I haven't exported any of them so can't upload but will perhaps do this later.
