On a personal note, I have to say that the TTArtisan 35/0.95 lens has become one of my top choices for the Fuji X-Pro3. I absolutely love the distinct rendering it produces on the APS-C sensor. Using this lens feels like having a fast normal lens with a classic rendering, which may not be flawless but that's precisely what makes it so unique. It's reminiscent of shooting with a Leica 50/1.4 "pre-asph" lens on a full-frame camera.

In my opinion, the key characteristics are undoubtedly its exceptional rendering and compact size. Additionally, the lens maintains impressive sharpness, particularly at the center even when used at wider apertures. I've shared a few sample images for reference, which can be found here:

Interesting read. Funny that the lens seems to be constructed the exact same way as every cheaper manual focus lens I've taken apart from the 1960's to today. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

I have the Mitakon 0.95 and this will ruffle some feathers, but it's superior to the Leica 50/1.4 pre-asph. At least the Summilux-R 50 E55. I have tested both and the Mitakon performs better at the wider apertures than the old Lux both off and on a speed booster. The Lux is weak at apertures before f/2.8 near MFD. The Mitakon is razor sharp. I thought they may have decided to tune it for closer distances, so I did an infinity test and the Mitakon is still sharper and has much more contrast than the lux. Stopped down the contrast of the Mitakon is the best of any lens I own. It has plenty of issues such as curvature among others, but so does the lux and the output of the Mitakon is special. Pure art. My understanding is that the TTArtisan is similar in performance and character.
