Monarchs should show here any day now. First Monarch in my garden last year was on August 12

Late edit (3 or 4 hours later): The first Monarch of the year showed at my wildflower garden this afternoon. I did not rush to get an image and did not see it again. Maybe tomorrow.

This is the closest I get to "water fowl" these days...

I used a Viltrox 12mm extension tube on the 400mm f4.5S to get a little closer to this little guy.

Getting comfortable with the Z8 (+500 PF).

I've see minks quite often around the lake here for the last five years, but this was my first good photo opportunity with one. This was from a kayak.

These images look sharper on Flickr...
