It’s definitely a compliment 👍. Your images are beautifully done and the lens was part of that, but it’s the person behind the camera that makes it happen. I’ll be in the Orlando area briefly this month and hope to bring my Z8 and the 180-600 to the Orlando Wetlands for a few hours. Now I just have to finish my setup of the Z8 and become proficient in its use.

Well, thanks for that
Good luck in Orlando, should be a great spot this time of year. Spoonbill chicks, I would think. Congrats on the new gear !

I think a lot of them are now flying based on photos I'm seeing from the FB group. They were just getting started when I was there this past January. I would imagine the mosquitos will be in full bloom this time of year

Ha ! That sounds about right. I was there in March, can't believe that was two months ago !
This reviewer talks about its smoothness and multiple drill/tapped holes (at 2:50)
This lens collar is horrible for anything but acting as a handle. I bought the collar and used it throughout my recent road trip. I could not get it to lock down without a latent wiggle.
For my purposes, I give it a 1 out of 5 star review... Like I said, good for "handle" carry, but not good for stability on a tripod.
