The car shot is just spectacular. Well done!

Looks like a '62 Bonneville? Just floating down the road, top down. A great experience.

'Cuz you're bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. You're Nationwide

Nice pic.

How about Voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 SL II-S, do you guys like it?
Please share some samples, I'm thinking of getting one for Zf.

Rich and I both had one and sold them. So many other lenses I’d rather shoot with. You can’t use the aperture ring either.

Why those F mount CV lens don't work with their aperture rings?
Do they give green focus confirmation?

Because the FTZ doesn’t have an aperture feeler. Take it up with Nikon.

Mine is glued to my FM2, but i'll look if I've any Zf shots with it. I used it a lot on my Zfc before.

Very nice photos, as always

How would you describe 58/1.4 SL on Zf? Is it good performer, worth to have one? I'm after classic, "character" lens and sounds like that lens is perfect for that.

I had it for two years but underappreciated it at the time. Sometimes miss it nowadays. However, at the time I clearly preferred the Nikkor 58G and it has AF.

The SL II-S was
+ mechanically a joy to use
- hard to nail focus with. I struggled focusing it wide open.
- had funky background below f/2.
+ had less saturation than the Z Voigtlanders. More faithful colours, in my opinion. E.g. a sample I liked here
+ very nice stopped down.

Some random underprocessed samples. Exif intact

All photos look great to me Maybe I would not pay full price for new, but I think I'll go for used one. £390 vs £518.
But would £460 be worth to pay for new one?

Market conditions and the actual market you are buying at plays a role. I paid only £330 for mine and it was in the box, like new. It is £411 brand new at B&H right now, then add VAT and import duties. I think £460 maybe okay for a new one if all taxes and shipping is included. B&H will happily ship to the UK. They offer trouble-free shopping.
