The Short-eared Owls are back and very active at certain times of the day. I enjoyed a couple of good shooting mornings over the past couple weeks and here's a little of what I was able to capture.
Great images, Louie with #8 being perfect. Excellent timing and pretty decent lighting considering our northwest typical weather this time of year.

Louie, one of your best posts ever IMO buddy!! You were totally on your game to capture these action shots
You had me captive on the first one, and the rest just kept getting better and better. #3 should look real nice on your wall, what a stunning capture
#4 how freakin' unique is that !!! Wow wow and more wows that rocks
#5 just downright beautiful!
#6 sittin'on the capture, sweet
#7 love the inclusion of the surroundings, really nice IMO
#8 !! Two SEO's IF and one Vole/mouse IF ...... Winner!!
Outstanding, Louie. Simply spectacular series, and as others said, just kept getting better as I scrolled down. I love the looks they're giving each other in 4. The interaction with the hawk in 8 is magazine cover, competition prize winner worthy.

Ahem, Sir. One of those feathered critters in #8 don't lookie like one of dem der had been done been SEOs unless it shaved its legs and painted them yellow.
