If you're serious, plenty of small shops that have a way shorter line and still won't charge you tax (probably).
Yeah, I am buying X100VI. As I get older, I have less motivation and less desire to spend time post processing images. I expect I will use X100VI a lot like my smart phone, i.e., fix horizon in post and/or crop a little and post online. 90% of my images are with 35mm lens and of my family and friends anyway. This video summed it up well for me.
If you could recommend me a few shops, I would appreciate it. If you don't want to list them here, please direct message me.

I got the XT3 when it came out and really enjoyed just doing in-camera processing for like a year.
My first Fuji experience will have to wait. I called B&H and they are not giving out any possible ship dates at least for my pre order. I'm not letting B&H sit on my money for potentially years at this point for a point and shoot. Too bad. Was kinda excited to try it out. Maybe in 3 or 4 years when they catch up with orders😀

B&H does not charge US customers for pre-orders until the item is shipped. They only do a preauthorization on your credit card at the time of the preorder.

Money was gone from my PayPal account by the time I finished the pre order.

When did you pre-order?
I was way late to the game. So it'smy fault. Sometime last week. I have a couple other pre-orders at different spots or on lists so maybe I get lucky. But don't think so at this point. Still holding out hope Sony sees this and does an RX1Riii. That's what I really want. But my odds are probably better with the Fuji.😞
I ordered my last night. I don't expect it to ship for another month or two, but it is just a camera and I have bunch of them already, so I can wait; it is not the end of the world. In hindsight, I should have ordered as soon as pre-order started but I wanted to see some real reviews and although we still don't have those yet, the photowalk podcast sealed the deal for me.

Based on some reports, depending on where you ordered it, an order today or yesterday may see a 6 month wait.
