I was in BH the other day and asked. Was told a few silver here and there and very little black for the last two months. I was also told at another shop that they are being told new orders will take 20 weeks.
Problem is anyone on the fence has an incentive to hold onto that pre-order. Even if they didn't want it anymore or had multiple pre-orders, they can sell and make some profit.

I'm just curious, has anyone here received their VI from B&H recently?

I think you were ahead by an hour. Haven’t received mine either (here in Canada). No ETA yet. The only good news is my DXO PL 7 Elite is already ready for it :-)

If in fact you pre ordered through B&H, that is good news. I ordered at 10:00am on Feb. 20th.

What's a DXO PL 7 Elite?
just tried BestBuy chat. ...- "We have not received any stock from Fuji since Feb on that camera Those few folks that were lucky enough to score one were able to do so by merely being in the right place at the right time - when someone else cancelled their backorder. So it's pure luck and coincidence. There is no pattern, date, time or astrological sign that is ideal.
I just checked for another customer and we are still completely out across the country."
If I really wanted one badly I would pay over retail. If I had to pay $200 extra to get it a year sooner than later (which is what it's now looking like), I'd do it and consider the $200 like a rental fee. Except this would be $200 for a whole year whereas the rental places want more than that for a week. The $200 is less than what I spend for coffee in a year. It's the cost of 30 craft beers. And if you can't afford the extra $200 then you probably shouldn't even be buying the camera at MSRP since it's overpriced to begin with IMO.
I wasn't going to get one as I have a V. But I have a trip coming up and really wanted the IBIS on this model. So, I waited and then pounced on a used one here, with 200-odd clicks on the shutter. It came with a few extras, like the hood/filter and extra batteries and grip. For what I paid, I doubt the seller made much off the sale.
Like others have said, it just depends on how badly you want the camera. If you really want it, keep scanning the boards. (If you're willing to buy used...)

I just checked eBay out of curiosity, brand new 100VI's...$2500 and up!
No, thank you, I will wait for my preordered to come in. It's not like I don't have any other camera's.
Thats not what they are really selling for though-
Just like the limited editions all have stupid prices on them. No one is buying them. I enjoy seeing the 3500 dollar price tag on the Limited edition one on the board.
Once you realize you just get a strap you won't use and a lens cap that can't be used if you slap a filter on it, its a pointless upgrade.
I was at a car dealership and saw a car that was the ugliest color and they were trying to push it out the door with markdowns. I asked the salesman who's going to buy a car that color, and he said to me, there's an ass for every seat.
I just received this email from B&H.
Thank you again for your Fujifilm X100VI order. We know that the excessive wait for this camera has been very frustrating and we apologize for this situation. Demand for this extremely popular camera has resulted in major delivery delays.
We now expect to ship your order by August 9th. Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on actual Fujifilm deliveries. If we receive any further updates that affect the schedule, we will email you.
Please email orderinfo@bhphoto.com or call us at 800.221.5743 if you have any further questions or if you would like to change/cancel your order.
We very much appreciate your business. Please accept our sincere commitment that we are working hard to get your camera to you as quickly as possible.
Anyone want to buy my used 100VI for $1300? I'm taking preorders. Please be patient because I don't have the 100VI yet.
Is the above any more stupid than what Fuji is doing?
