I ordered a black Fuji X100VI from B&H on February 22, 2024. I owned the original X100 and also the X100F and enjoyed using both. Sold the X100F to try the GF 50 lens on my GFX 50R, but I ended up not using it as much because of form factor. Adding the X100VI back to my stable will allow me to use it as a EDC. Sticking with the Fuji line will keep usage similar. I expected to wait a couple months, but its approaching 5 months. In the mean time, I sold four GF lenses and purchased the GF 55, which I am very happy with.
Finally got mine yesterday. Basically it was a four month wait.
I've been reading the manual and went to a few YouTube videos regarding users' fave settings and etc. I love the handling of the camera especially with the Small Rig plate. This is my first Fuji camera so needless to say it's taking me sometime to familiarize myself with the menu.
Right now I've got lossless compressed RAW + Fine jpeg (Reala Ace). However, since I set up in full manual (I turn shutter speed with the back dial and ISO with the front dial), I'm tempted to shoot all jpeg with the Bracket Film Sim (Reala Ace, Astia and Pro Neg +). If I don't like the grain I have Topaz AI in my back pocket.

I shouldn't be but I'm kind of surprised mine hasn't shipped yet. Ordered Feb 28th from B&H.
I pre ordered mine on February 20th at 10:00am, just 10 hours after the start of being able to order it from B&H.
Received it on July 18, that's two days shy of five months of waiting. Hopefully Fuji has ramped up production in the last five months, but I wouldn't count on that...sorry.
Ordered mine in Feb 23rd at 10:33am. I got this email from BH photo few weeks back 😂
At this point, we now expect to ship your order by December 31st based on the latest information we have received from Fujifilm. Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on actual Fujifilm deliveries. If we receive any further updates that affect the schedule, we will email you.

I work part time for the biggest photo retailer in NL/BE.
It looks like 65% of the bodies produced are destined to the Asian market, the rest of the world shares the rest. Sometimes we get two, sometimes five and they are of course immediately gone for the people that pre-ordered it months ago.
Same for the XT50 - stock everywhere is very low.
In Japan it seems that X100VI is constantly unavailable in all stores that sell it at regular price of 281K yen or thereabouts, but there are lots of smaller stores that have them in stock that sell them at higher prices, starting from around 340K yen...
On the other hand, X-T50 (cheapest body-only prices start from 211K yen) has been available at most stores at regular price since launch and it doesn't appear to be in very short supply. It might be priced too close to X-T5 as X-T5 seems to be selling better even now.

I guess I should be excited. My email today said they hope to know something by November 7th. What a shitshow.

In my opinion, Fuji has set the price of the T50 too high. It seems to be a great camera, but it is overpriced compared to others in the lineup and the previous T30II.
I remember you advising me to get the T30II and I finally did. What a gem!

Wow, pre-order a camera just a few days after it's available and then wait almost a year to receive it! I'm not sure who's to blame, but it's definitely a bad outcome for the consumer.

I would love to know the percentage of US VI orders that Adorama and B&H account for.
No one I knew had any issues buying a VI on launch day from smaller LCS shops. This is clearly an issue down to the huge stores and their long lines.

It’s evident that this issue is widespread, even in Japan. Large stores receive more orders than smaller ones, leading to a greater backlog. Overall, this situation is not a positive development for Fuji, although the release of another highly desired camera is a silver lining.
