I continue to be impressed with the GF500mm f5.6. Below, is a cropped image and the original. The sky against the Osprey was too stark for my taste, so I replaced the sky. The bird, itself, is right out of Lightroom with the shadows raised, a bit. As a note, the Bird Eye-Focus worked amazingly well on the GFX100S II - even at a distance. The Osprey had just plucked the fish out of the water.

nice, I also came from the 645z system. I prefer the menu system of the pentax but everything else the gfx hands down.
That is great. I agree for the most part. The menu system is not intuitive to me. The Pentax felt natural to use. I will get there though, the juice is worth the squeeze!

A rework of a recent image to add to the new thread. I'm also attaching it at 4096px due to something Scott said in another thread about smaller jpegs not holding detail. On my profiled 5K monitor, this looks incredibly detailed even downsized this much -- not sure it will hold here, we shall see... (Edit: yes, something in this website clearly hammers detail when jpegs are uploaded.)

Few more 50R w/100-200 & 35-70. Used the 1.4x teleconverter on the badlands photo. I'd really like that 500 one of these days though ; )
Spectacular light, color and texture, Jord, and your aerial perspectives are breathtaking. The framing and shadow casted by the spire at morning light in your last work is epic!

Thank you! The spire was actually at sunset, although I think a visit at sunrise would probably be worth it. It'll have to wait until I get out that way again. There's usually some pretty great color facing that direction in the morning.
