Now that a bunch more of us have this model, it would be nice to have a dedicated image thread for it, as its sensor's rendering is quite unique in the Z lineup. I'm sure people interested in the ZF would also like a condensed image thread.
I'm sure we'll get some cross-posting between here and the Voigtlander thread, and that's cool too
I can't remember....do you still use the 500 pf? I think you had one. It's hard to think that my 500 pf would do better than this 180-600mm shot.
Anyone else sell their 500pf for a 180-600?
Thanks...
I shot the 500PF from its introduction until the 400 f4.5 S was available. I sold the 500PF in order to eliminate the need for the FTZ. While the optical performance of the 500PF is no doubt superior, the 180-600 is a gem when one considers the price, range, and internal zoom.

What time did you take those photos?
I was in Rome in APril this year and there were millions of people
They were taken mid-March this year. Most of the shots were taken at dawn, just before sunrise. Typically around 5:50ish this time of year. Imo the most beautiful light of the day and having (almost) no people around is just a bonus
The Piazza San Pietro image was actually taken at 18:30 and there were plenty of people. But it’s a blend of multiple long exposures so effectively several minutes of exposure and thus most people don’t show up in the image.
Cross-post. A day with house-cleaning and laundry, but I managed to look at some flowers. Zf with APO-Lanthar 50mm, picture control auto, Jpegs, one cut to a square and made B/W in PS.
