A quick trip back to the Laikipia area of Kenya to visit my favorite cat. No gore just a gorgeous cat in really nice light. Having received unseasonable rains, the grass was very high and luscious green.....finding her was one thing as she could easily disappear into foliage well above her head height....getting shots in the open with clean backgrounds were even harder but I do like how her coat contrasts so well with the environment. It does make her daytime hunting much more difficult but of course she does tend to be a nocturnal huntress and at night she can disappear and do her best work.
Hope you enjoy. Still a lot more to process so there may be more to post.
Eric
Wow, she is special. Number 4, those eyes at night! And number 15 in the tall stuff with the sun glowing on the stalks, those are my 2 winners. Great stuff!
Eric
Oh those eyes are mesmerizing. However would hate to see them focused on me. That night shot is unique and quite stunning l All so well done Eric. Enjoyed them all . Looking forward to more.

Dave
Than you Dave….we had many very close encounters to the point I could have reached out and touch her….wouldn’t have been a smart move though.

What a stunning set of images Eric, good to hear and see that she is doing well.
Thanks Louie, there have been struggles and many changes in her territory . She had been MIA for a bit when the weather was bad so we felt very Cory to be able to spend so much time with her.

Thanks Birdie….her dark fur is a real challenge for mirrorless focusing so having those incredible eyes to focus on is really important. Glad you liked the night shot. It was difficult getting good night images as they use a pink filter on the spotlight and post processing is a nightmare.

Terrific collection of shots.
Very special cat captured beautifully.
Dave
Thanks Dave, very fortunate to have gotten some quality daylight time with her. The rains made the foliage so high that finding her hunting at night was close to impossible.
