A few years ago, I was invited to the inauguration of an aquaculture research center in Peru and arranged a quick trip to Machu Picchu in the following days. The journey's first step from the coast to the mountains was a flight to Cuzco. Cuzco is a high-altitude city (11,000+ feet) with a lot of history. I would have liked to spend more than one night there, but time was short. The one afternoon I had there proved quite lively, with a procession in honor of one of the Catholic saints (I don't recall which). Here are a few B&Ws from that afternoon.
What a fantastic set, Chris! You captured the bright, smiling faces of the children, the beauty of the costumes and city.
Just for background info, the cathedral at Cusco is also known as Cathedral Basilica of the Virgin of the Assumption. So the statue being paraded around isn't just any saint, but is of Mother Mary, and the cathedral is her namesake.
I was able to spend a few days with my Peruvian government counterpart and I had some great food, met some fantastic people and even learned some history of the Country I did not know!
I especially enjoyed the women with their bowler and fedora hats and colorful dress/garments!
Your bw compositions are FANTASTIC Chris! Sharp crisp lines and the tones are wonderful!! And from a 5DMKIII? Mine never looked close to this good!

Dan, here are a couple of color versions.
The 5DIII is an excellent camera. I moved to the 5DSR mainly because my daughter took the 5DIII on some field work in Nicaragua, and it came back in less-than-stellar shape. At the price you can pick up a used one it's really a steal of a camera.
