Hey y’all,
One more set to share as I’ve mostly finished developing images from the White Sands windstorm, as well as one from a different day when the winds were normal rather than crazy. I’ve become fascinated by this particular landscape, especially how it allows room for interpretation and distilling down to simple yet powerful compositional elements. If you aren't yet sick of seeing dunes, I hope you enjoy the views

Always wanted to shoot some dunes but terrified of getting sand in my cameras haha
I hear you, it used to worry me also, but after shooting dunes at Death Valley, Colorado, and NM, I haven’t had any problem with that. For the White Sands windstorm I came prepared with two bodies so no lens changes helped a lot. I kept the cameras with lenses mounted inside the photo backpack until needed to make a shot, then back inside. Back at camp I use a powerful electric blower in case there is any residual sand.
Now the one time that sand did get me was in a Utah canyon, no wind, and as I was changing lenses I clumsily dropped a Nikon 24-70/2.8 and it landed in sand...killed that lens!
Beautiful Ross! What a special (but challenging) time to be shooting at White Sands. Love how you've handled the colors and processing - natural and compelling.
