Yes, but... the 100-500L + 1.4x TC might be a touch sharper.
The Nikon combo seems to expose darker as well, which offsets some of the theoretical lens speed advantage, and Nikon Z9 bird eye detection missed the eye in the majority of these shots, while the Canon was pretty much perfect.
The Nikon lens is quite a bit cheaper, though... tough decision. I was hoping there would be a more obvious image quality advantage one wy or the other.
