Congratulations on the new lens - now let's see some images

I did receive a 45 1.8 from MPB (USA) with no issues but they want $2179 for a like new copy - new is $2699. Too rich for my blood at least (for now). Still getting my feet wet with the OM-3.

Haha - well I'm off to my parents in North Wales tomorrow and then onto the North East to visit my best friend (since I was 10 years old - 55 yr friendship) so maybe a chance or two there. End of the month I'm off to Madeira so definitely an opportunity there if I take it (7 days with the wife and then I'll stay on, hiking, for 7-10 days).

The US prices seem very high ! Is that a reflection of the tariffs? It's rare that UK prices are cheaper than in the US but this time undoubtedly they are (and MPB UK have maybe another 12 x 300/4 at £1350 up to £1,499).

Not sure why the US prices are so much higher (it may well be tariffs. I can order cheaper from Japan but their prices seem to have risen as well. Will simply wait and see if tariff issue settle down. Have fun with your lens.

Just for an update, I've decided not to repurchase the 150-600 after getting my refund from MPB. I'm sure it's a fine lens but for now my old 100-400 is doing pretty much the same thing. The extra reach was never a big selling point for me. I was looking for an obvious upgrade in IQ and mostly I just can't get excited about buying another 6.3 lens. I've strongly considered the 300 f4 but I feel I'd need the 1.4 converter most of the time and I hate switching out tc's. I went through that with my Z9 and Z 400 4.5. And if I'm adding the TC to the 300 f4 I may as well just stick with the 100-400. I'm just going to sit tight and maybe down the road used prices for the 150-400 may drop. Not holding my breath but you never know.
