The recent wildfires in western Colorado have produced a lot of smoke and haze and made the sunsets surreal. A few I captured yesterday from Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
Appreciate it Joel! That one is my favorite as well. I was planning to do a time blend on this one with a sky from an earlier exposure but it was not needed as the sky kept getting better into blue hour.
Storm King Mountain is prominent in your images. Sad story there.

Thanks Al! Yes, very tragic what occurred there. For those that don't know, In 1994, a wildfire on Storm King Mountain near Glenwood Springs, Colorado, overran firefighting crews after sudden shifts in wind and fire behavior, killing 14 firefighters. The tragedy became a pivotal case study in wildland fire safety and crew communication. There is a memorial cross that lights up at night in remembrance to them to this day.

No. 2 is most excellent, Scott!

Thanks for the kind words and feedback Douglas! The wider scene in #2 gives more context and although I like the tight shots on the sun, it was harder to show context and frame up a composition.
