This set was taken about two weeks ago at Nickerson Beach, Long Island, NY. I'm happy to report that the oystercatchers have made a nice recovery in numbers after being devastated by multiple hurricanes a decade ago.

6) Black Skimmer coming in over the American Oystercatchers
Looks like some nice rough surf to stir things up for them to feed. I like the last shot with the skimmer gliding in over the oystercatchers. Nice to see them coming back.
