Has anyone used this lens on an OM-1 body and did you need an adapter?

That's interesting Tony. A 300mm EQ 2.8 macro would be awesome. I didn't know Sigma ever made that lens for M4/3. Judging by the link you referenced it sure appears to have a M4/3 mount but of course I can't be sure. The Sigma 105, 150, and 180 were all excellent as you probably know
I'm thinking you would probably need the same adapter you would use for the Olympus 50-200 2.8/3.5 ??

This was from 2022 off an M4/3 forum

items to sell/buy/trade: Sigma 105 f2.8 EX DG Macro in 4/3rd mount with caps and lens hood, Olympus MMF-2 adaptor with caps.

Prices: Sigma lens with caps and hood - $130
Olympus MMF-2 adaptor - $50
I prefer selling lens and adaptor together and will favor inquiries for both - $160

Gary, yes I am pretty sure you need an adapter. I am pretty sure I had one with a Canon mount. Great quality images, but it is a large and heavy lens.

I had the 105 in Nikon F-mount. Excellent IQ from that lens.

I have the original Sigma 150/2.8 macro in EF. It is an excellent lens even today, though the AF is inherently slow. I use it with very good results on the a7rV though there is a little CA. The OM sensor is about 90% of that pixel pitch, so should be fairly similar and the center zone is the best. Apparently the later OS version of the lens has better AF, but the OS module tends to fail. Make sure you get the tripod collar as it is specific to each model lens and hard to find apart from the lens. I very much wish we would see some new macros for MILS. IQ today could be even better and they would be lighter in weight.

I don't plan on buying one. Too big and heavy and will not auto focus-stack on the OM1 II.

I would buy the OM 90mm f3.5 macro before the Sigma. I get pretty good close-up shots with the 40-150 f2.8 when focusing-stacking.
