This duck was spending time with the Mallards at Kissena Park here in New York City. Apparently the Silver Appleyard is a domesticated duck from the UK and some were brought to the US where they are also farm grown. More about them at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_Appleyard
They are a rather attractive duck slightly larger than a mallard and this one is a female.
I like the color tones on this silver_appleyard and find the creature striking Morris, but as I find with some textures and colors, they throw off the autofocus sensor for some reason... I have this trouble with certain white flowers with a yellow buttercup type tinge, in a similar brightness range as your duck... some of these appear back focused towards the wing detail to me, or am I seeing things? With that in mind, 1 and 2 for me as the best in that department, but I love 5 for its character giving you a sqwuack. I apologize if I am off base, and if I am right, I hope you get another shot at it.
Nice captures, Morris.
What a pretty girl she is -- love the 'peachy' hues.
My favorites are #2, hanging out with the Mallard, and #5, where she's calling you a phony doctor.

The focus on the second with two ducks is the only one I see that's not focused on the eye and that was intentional. I agree there not as crisp as many of my images, possibly there was some heat shimmy.
