I have a Lumix G9II and a Lumix 100-400 f/4-6.3, and I would like to get more reach by adding a 1.4TC. Since that would come to f/8.82, I am wondering if the lens would still auto-focus. Has anyone had any experience with that combo?

I'm not a Panasonic shooter (other than some lenses), but I think you need the Panasonic DMW-TC14. They seem to be only be available used, and are very pricey -- not sure why. The 'L' mount TC will not work on your G9ll, as that is a Full Frame mount.
Like you I am perplexed why Panasonic no longer supplies the 1.4x telecon for the 50-200.I messaged them a while ago and got nowhere.As a cure,I bought the OMD 50-200 2.8.Love it.
