After a week of rain, today brought us a picture-perfect Pacific Northwest spring day. And what better way to celebrate spring than with youth sports!
For fun, I brought my trusty 5D Mark IVs and some EF glass out to the local park to dust off the cobwebs... Not in the cameras, mostly in me when it comes to shooting field sports, haha.
Got a few keepers even at that blistering 7fps framerate.
Accidentally surprised this owlet by being TOO quiet in my approach even though they were 30 feet up. Great Horned Owlet, on Flickr
After a while it wasn't impressed with me anymore. Great Horned Owlet, on Flickr
Part of the reason I recently got a 200mm f/2 was for more unique wildlife shots in their environment. The Turkey Roosting under Moonlight photo was the first one that achieved that goal, this is the second. Great Horned Owlets, on Flickr
