p.1 #1 · Question about shipping a Canon supertelephoto lens
I am getting ready to ship a Canon EF 600/4 IS II. I have done this before, but I usually hold onto a lens for a long time so I think I need a refresher. I did tap into Google's AI recommendations, which all seems sound -i.e. pack and secure, weigh and measure, create UPS/FedEx label online, insure package, print and attach, and then the one that has me a bit confused- SCHEDULE PICKUP. Is it frowned upon to bring a heavy and large package into FedEx or UPS? Should I instead have it picked up? If the latter, do I choose a time and they come and get it? I work a lot and it wouldn't work if they will pick it up between 8am and noon, for example (I would need a more precise time).

^^^John echoes my thoughts also. I always want to make sure it is shipped properly @ address correct, ant s&h issues I did not remember........ So I go directly to the shipper.^^^ I have shipped 500/600mm Canon's and never an issue.
Good luck!
