Not sure the camera, lens, or model let you down on this one...

I seem to recall this shot was during the lockdown and I went around with that old lens on the D850 and met Andrea along the walk and took a couple casual shots of her, nothing planned, proof the best gear is the one you have handy when in need…

Ciao fratello!
Molto ben composta.
During covid, everything was a blur or such. Her eyes(eye balls) sparkle.
Ciao!

Spectacular, young sir.
Great restraint in the post work.
Her DNA didn’t hurt much, either.
Congratulations.

Very nice! I often like more casual portraits over highly planned and processed ones. Beautiful work!

Good day you all,

question, what is this "Featured thread of the week"? Does somebody pick posts to attend this thing?

By the way, I like them semi-candid if possible as to get a natural reaction rather than a pose but that doesn't always work, for instance this was shot along the lockdown and I met Andrea, who I know and whose parents I know, along a walk with my beloved dog, I like to take, from time to time, old lenses with me just to find out if they can still perform the job and I have to unfortunately say that the 35-70/2.8 has never been a brilliant lens, it is good on the wide end up until about 50mm but that's all about it.

Yep post processing helps to make the subject pop a bit but you can't do much about softness but I am glad I had a camera with me and that you like the results.

Thanks for voting it

Giovanni
