p.1 #1 · Fuji X-E5 with a mini flash

Are any of my fellow FM forum members using a mini flash on their Fuji cameras? I find the pop-up flash on my X-T50 very useful and wanted a small flash for my X-E5. I stumbled on the Zeniko ZF 08 mini flash speedlight on Amazon for a great low price. Since getting the flash last week I have used it frequently and really enjoy it. It is very small and light, has an internal usb charged battery, 3 second recharge,5 levels of flash power and a plastic hot shoe mount which won't scratch the hot shoe. I recommend it highly!

Tried that one in Sony version for my Sony cameras - didn't work. Flash wouldn't fire. For my Fuji's, I like the X8 more since it flips up and is higher than this one.

I recently got the Godox iT30Pro along with the TTL riser. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, so I can't really comment on its usability. I have a couple of other Godox flash heads and compatibility was the primary factor in my choice.

Sorry you had the problem on your Sony. Mine works great on my X-E5. I have an X8 which I use on my X-T5, but like the lower Zeniko on my X-E5. It is so small and low that I am thinking of leaving it on the camera and not removing it. It is so handy in low light situations. Today at lunch I ask our server if I could get her photo. This photo was taken at the lowest flash level of the five levels. Crazy about the camera, the 23/2.8 pancake and now my mini Zeniko flash!

That was my choice too. Got one for Fujifilm, one for Sony. And I can use either one on both systems, but wireless. So for both systems, I've got one for on camera, one off camera (provided the native one is used on body as trigger ofc). Used mine for an evening event (paid gig) and they did great. Easy to see why it's so popular.

Good to know. It's interesting that you were able to use only two of these for an event shoot. I should be able to spend some time getting familiar with the light this weekend.

I really like the iT30Pro for a little flash that can live in the camera bag for occasional use. It needs no batteries, just USB input that any cellphone charger can do.
Depending on the lens length it needs that riser to prevent shadows and to reduce the eyes. It tilts too!

I got the riser and like it. If you're using a longer lens you need it so the lens doesn't block the light. However, it can also angle upwards for a bounce flash. All in all, a nice little setup for simple flash usage. And only $14 USD at Amazon.
