p.1 #1 · Gain trust as a new paying member of FM community
Hello all,
I’m so excited to be part of the Fred Miranda community! I’ve always loved photography, and as a certified PPA photographer, I recently decided to become a paid subscriber to get more involved and maybe even sell some of my photography and tech gear here.
Since I’m new, I’m wondering how other members have built trust in this community while selling photography and tech gear in the forum. Do you have any tips or best practices for building credibility and making smooth transactions as a new member? I want to make sure I’m following the right steps and becoming a positive, reliable part of the forum.
I’d be happy to connect and become an active member of this photography community.
Looking forward to connecting!

Welcome. You should make a significant number of meaningful posts over a period of time to gain credibility. We see many newcomers just post like crazy for a few days so they can reach the B&S limit, then they buy or sell and disappear.

What EBH said. Actively participate in whichever forums are of interest so folks get to "know" you. If you have links to other places where you post or showcase your work, mentioning that would also help.
Welcome aboard and look forward to seeing your posts.

I am sincerely appreciative of the insightful responses I have received from both of you. Your perspectives are truly enlightening and align well with my experiences. Engaging in meaningful discussions through posts not only fosters a sense of community but also cultivates familiarity among us.
Over the past few years, I have devoted myself to the study of technical photography and the intricate science of light. This journey has inspired me to apply my acquired knowledge to the field of forensic photography. I am currently pursuing certification as a forensic imaging specialist, a path I am both passionate about and committed to. My interest lies more in the scientific aspects of light and photography, having conducted in-depth research at a scientific level, rather than its purely artistic aspects, which initially sparked my interest in photography many years ago.
I am eager to contribute my future work to the community and hope that my efforts will ignite interest and engagement. Despite the demands of my studies, I am dedicated to producing posts that are both informative and thought-provoking, with the aim of facilitating meaningful discussions. Thank you once again for your support and encouragement.
