But I was curious if the FM members on the Canon platform have taken to the Voigtlander 40/1.2? it is a special little lens with its own character (yes, we all overuse that term...). On the alternative gear forum, it seems to have a decent following, but mostly Sony users, however, I would argue that Canon has (much) better manual focus assist tools than Sony.
I did shoot this lens for a (short) while on Sony, but I never liked the experience; the EVF on the camera at the time, only have focus peaking and zoom-in function to check critical focus, etc.
Just curious if people are using it on Canon cameras and you are happy with the experience and results?
Edit: I guess the lens offers magnification, focus peaking and focus guidance options, but Canon - like Sony - lacks the eye-focus confirmation box that e.g. Nikon offers on manual focusing glass. Still Canon focus guidance is better/preferred over the Sony option.

I love the lens on Canon, and you linked to the thread I started so you have some of my samples. If you select people AF it will detect eyes for portraits and the box will come up on the eye. So, it does have eye focus confirmation. I don't use that much preferring to move the focus box to the eye manuallly and then use the focus guide, but both options are available.
