To those who celebrate, Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year to all, may good light be with you!
These shots are giving me " House of Cards" vibe in a good way
Merry Christmas and Happy New year Doug
Something that I am discovering with the X2DII-100C is that one can push the camera considerably farther than the screen shows when it comes to dynamic range. The preview screen shows the highlight to be considerably more washed out than they are. The preview screen is really great, but it can't match the sensor's ability to reproduce incredible dynamic range.
We had a great one, thank you. Hope you and your family did as well. I wasn't planning on posting a picture from the shoot, not sure why I ended up with that big space.

I did, thank you. Let's just call it a Texas sized post, Jim
There really isn't anything remarkable from that shoot to Wow you with. The images turned out very nice and the client is very happy but I struggled with light, winter landscape and two little ones who were pumped up with Christmas energy. Not a normal shoot for me, but we got it done.
Hi Joe, hope you guys had a great Christmas! I snuck away for an hour in the air and it was a little slice of heaven. Felt a little guilty that my little Buddy wasn't in the back seat, but there wasn't time and it's a whole other level of responsibility when he's with me.
I have a couple of days of "undecorating" looming between now and 01/01/26 and then I'm ready to hit the ground running and dig into the new year's assignments. Fortunately, things start to green up around here in late February/early March so we get a bit of a head start on much of the country. I'm always ready to wind down in November/December but the anticipation new assignments and challenges starts to get me pumped up right about now.
My 777 folks called me to tell me that we'll have a very small window to capture some beauty images of their new freight compartment system. The window spans from the time they put the finishing touches on those areas, to the moment the FAA takes the airplane to inspect and certify it. Supposedly that will be sometime between 01/02 and 01/05, if everything gets done as planned..................and we all know the chances of that. When they call me I will have minimal time to go see it, assess the lighting and equipment requirements, figure out the time required to complete the shots and get out of everyone's way. I can hardly wait, I thrive on the challenges and imagining the outcome.
Happy belated Christmas to all, sounds like everyone is doing well.
Sounds like you're getting things all lined out in your head Jim on how to go about things and be prepared.
Spent the last 5 days in a hot tub overlooking the ocean, taking a few pixs and flying the toys.
Last six months have been pretty good picture sales wise and 2026 is looking good with one company ordering 30+ pictures soon, a killer Air Crane shoot coming and a horse event already scheduled for late spring...Need more hot tub time tho
.
Happy new Year to all.

Beautiful set, Bill!
I just read that celebratory images will be projected on the Washington Monument in the next couple days for the 250th anniversary, I will try to make it down there to take some pix. In 2019 they did that for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing too.
Happy New years to all.
Workin again today but hopefully we can get out of here early today.

Blast from the Past...
