Glad the photos are making the rounds, great group of guys! I wanted to just hang out and hear the stories, but needed to focus on my role, no pun intended.
Admiral Byrd North Pole trip update, we may be taking two G650ER's, me on one, Chandler on #2. Chandler's role will be to get stills and videos of his crew and passengers and to shoot air to air of Gulfstream #1 (Me) over the North Pole. This is getting real!
Chandler is getting some incredible experience through this, and running underneath 777s, and hanging out with you, Jim - reminds me a bit of Glen Watson's journey, albeit a little later in his life, with his switch to A2A photography and the opportunities and doors that opened up.
Hi Gero, he sure is. We were just on the phone brainstorming some details, things are unfolding quickly. I hope I can take all of you guys along (virtually) on this adventure. We'll see how it shakes out.
Never ever, have I ever seen a 'Letter to the Editor' complimenting a photographer...but I will take it. I am now a 'letter to the editor' acclaimed photographer. Guess I can quit now.
Have you guys seen the "leaks" on GoPro's new line up of cameras? Looks like the Hero line might have ended with the 13. These new cameras certainly look interesting. I've been hounding GoPro for a decade about creating cameras like this, I guess it took their market share going in the tank to convince them that they needed to step up and out.

Speaking of the Admiral...here is a little known fact and they rest in Peace at Arlington. Not long ago for the Admiral and Mr Henson.
Bring back MANY images of this "lost" continent...
Dan
"Quote:Their first Arctic expedition together was in 1891–92. Henson served as a navigator and craftsman, and was known as Peary's "first man". Like Peary, he studied Inuit survival techniques.
During their 1908–09 expedition to Greenland, Henson was one of the six men – including Peary and four Inuit assistants – who claimed to have been the first to reach the geographic North Pole. In interviews, Henson identified as the first member of the party to reach what they believed was the pole. "
One of my mentors in SE Asia was also an Inuit native American.

I drove 930 miles to Florida on Tuesday, went to the sunset/evening airshow on Wednesday, drove back home on Thursday, all by myself. Fully disclosure, an untold number of Red Bull drinks were consumed and many gallons of gas were burned.
The entire A2A project for Sun N Fun was cancelled due to the engine replacement. But it was still great to see the F-22 demo flying at sunset, a first time for me. That was a main draw for the trip. Sounds a bit crazy. Will work on the airshow files this weekend.
I was able squeezed out a bit time in the morning for some birding fun.

I went out to an undisclosed location this week, ha ha, to photograph a Gulfstream G-450. Well this B-737 was taxiing by while I was photographing the exterior shots; so I just had to take a photo of it taking off.
Thank you! I remember seeing your gorgeous sunset shots of the F-22 at the London Show!
"NASA will mark America’s 250th anniversary with a series of special aircraft flyovers". There are six appearances on their schedule. Wednesday at Sun N Fun was their first appearance, then July 4th over DC, and Aug 23's Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington DC"
These are F-5s, according to Sun N Fun, not T-38 as some people thought. I am no expert. The jet in the first two pictures was flown by non other than Mr. Jared Isaacman, the current NASA Administrator. He was just in California to welcome the returning Artemis II astronauts.
