VERY crisp, clean, sharp Jim! Just beautiful detail that is not obscured by the limits of the camera. Hassy's are "Outer LImits"!

About 10 last evening this series of cells built up out of nowhere. I grabbed the Blad and headed into it................(23 second exposure/f10, ISO 200.)

Just magnificient Jim!
Much as I love the X2DII, I am not blind to the spots it could be improved. The optical viewfinder is mediocre and manually focusing the camera using it is challenging, even with 20-20 vision. The other night trying to focus in the dark on the storm in the distance was really tricky. The viewfinder gets very pixelated/noisy in the dark. I see the next iteration having an improved viewfinder, and a more powerful buffer to push the huge files through faster. I'd guess the sensor will get a bump to 150MP so the faster buffer might just be a wash. Hasselblad deliveries are so far behind that I doubt there will be a sequel for at least 24 months, but who knows. DJI has really put some adrenaline into the typically lethargic Hasselblad bloodline, it's a very interesting marriage. DJI is all about cutting edge technology and updating product lines, Hasselblad is all about being "Hasselblad" and, historically, cared not one wit about technology or production speed, it'll be interesting to watch.
The Columbus Ohio show in June was not on my radar because of the distance, until another FMer asked me about it. I took a look at their lineup and was pleasantly surprised, even though I don't count on the F-4D would actually fly or even be there. The biggest motivation for me is the shows on Friday and Saturday will be held at late afternoon/sunset, this alone is worth the drive for me, I will be skipping the PAX River show that same weekend with the Blue Angels and the F-16 demo not far from me. I will be seeing them so many times this year that it won't bother me much if I skip them once.
The 4th of July flyover in DC is shaping up to be a big one given who sits in the Whitehouse and the 250th anniversary. I need to find out where I should be to shoot the flyover and the fireworks in the evening. The every following Monday i will be at Johns Beach, Blue Angels, RCAF Snowbirds and the British Red Arrow! Glad we aren't shooting film.

GO get 'em Douglas!
Heh Jim!
I saw your post about shooting lighting and no audible "AF" lock on the Hassy. That is a HUGE plus on my Canon's. Might send a message to Hassy about a firmware update.
I had to look it up to verify that.
Wonderful image despite..!
Say "Heh" to my buddy!

Spent the morning in the G650ER brainstorming possible camera positions and compositions.Much as I like to have my ducks in a row way in advance, this is going to be a shoot from the hip whirlwind assignment. Where is the fingers crossed emoji.......?
