Nobody has dipped their toes in the water yet so here goes with my effort first off.
Having received the letter, the man smashes his favourite wedding photo in a fit of jealous rage. However, the lady seems to grin back at him mockingly as he grips the crumpled letter in his hand.
No need to explain this one, it's all in the title. Great idea, on my monitor the photo is a smidge dark but I love "Dear John" on the note peeking up at our eyes.

Thanks for that Gwen. Yes, inclined to agree that the lighting could be improved upon, but then again it's a bit of a dark subject.
