Photographed standing in front of the Roanoke Star--at 88.5 feet, it's the world's tallest, freestanding, illuminated star. That's 17,500 watts of warm neon glow.

Dfresh: As you know, it's not night in the 'Noke till the star comes on... It was tough to get my wife to hold still long enough to take that exposure, and then deal with the noise!
