Venice Carnevale is a colorful event. But once in a while, when the colors don't appeal to me for whatever reason, I decide to try some B&W just for fun. It makes other aspects of the image more important and I like that at times.

I like it better than the ones you shot in color. But I see the world in black & white. When it comes to photography of course... Not when it comes to politics

I understand. I am primarily a color photographer but I also enjoy B&W very much. Some images just work better in B&W. I often do two versions of an image because of this. In fact I often do my tone adjustments of even color images in B&W mode because tones, graphic impact, and composition are so much more prominent that way.
I think you and I would enjoy shooting together because we have such different views on things. I love that in my friends.
This image from the Venice Carnivale series I just could get a color version I liked when editing so I tried B&W. Although still not that special I do like it better than I do in color. That is probably due to the effect the window glass had on the color, the grain caused by the very low light, and the graphic nature of the reflections and background not coming through as strongly as I would have liked in color.
