Steve I keep coming back to this image. It is a real GEM. The overall color pallet and the way reds are placed in the frame is terrific. Outstanding image!!!!

Thanks, I am glad that you have enjoyed the image so much. This is one that I really liked when I shot it. But, was a little dissapointed when I first saw it in Lightroom. Framing and composition were right, but I couldn't get the color grading and toning to where I liked it. This was because the lighting was so difficult. In my recent workshop in Venice we spent a lot of time working with tones and colors. I took what I learned and tried another edit on this one and it all just fell into place for me.
Now, it is one my favorite images that I have made recently.
We just got back from a quick two day getaway to the Val D'Orcia and the beautiful little town of Pienza. No where else that I know of can you shoot landscapes like this while sitting at a table on the street of a charming little Bar/Cafe having Aperitivo and Prosecco. Life, living in a painting.

What a view! We did a big trip to Italy a few years back, visiting Cinque Terre/Tuscany region (San Gimignano) among other places - absolute favorite places I’ve ever been to
