M11P and Cron 35
see, I actually am capable of shooting scenes other than street people
First two close to .7M min focus distance, wide open at f2. Demonstrates bokeh with this gem of a lens. Third one at f5.6.
The Little Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta. These days it is often hard to get this shot without people in it because it has become so popular with tourists. The old barn next to it now is a restaurant and Cafe. I had a soft drink. The food looked good, but tourist pricing. 5 EU for a lemonade I should only pay 1 EU for. I am glad I was there early. However, this also meant that the little red poppies have not come up yet. It will be perfect in about a Month. I did however get lucky with the clouds.
A classic Val D'Orcia Tuscana landscape from last weekend's mini vacation. There was a large film crew from Milano at this location getting video and stills for advertising. The air was intermittently filled with drones, and the road with cars. The guys on the crew were very nice and we had a good time. All the camera guys had Leica for their personal stuff. So we were instant friends. Their work stuff was a mix of amazing equipment. Fun to watch the process. Bonus, the crew catering which I was invited to share was amazing. We exchanged contact info and I have some new friends. I made my shots as they were setting up between takes. Plenty of time because the cars would get dusty from the dirt roads and had to be washed between takes.
Early evening on the small streets of Pienza, Italy. Didn't have time to change shutter speeds when I saw this guy walking and lecturing his following Wife. I do like the blur his motion caused however. M11 35mm Summilux.
Having trouble understanding how to get to 25 posts to be able to reply to this thread. It sounds like the rule is intended to address issues with the buy/sell forum. So not sure why I am blocked from posting in almost every other forum.
This charming Deli is at the entrance to the charming little Comune Pienza overlooking the Val D'Orcia in Toscana, Italy. It is a great place to get refreshments.

I'm glad that you were able to visit the chapel and photograph it without many tourists or other distractions. When I was there a few years ago, they had an absolutely hideous sculpture installation that not only made it difficult to photograph the chapel, but really did not work well with the chapel and surrounding landscape.

I am glad it is now gone. A similar thing was done in Florence. A huge and hideous modern statue of a woman was installed near some of the greatest works of art in history. I really hated it. Thankfully, it has now been removed.
We were in Pienza last May. The weather went from rain to sunny and everything in between. While walking around we encountered three different bridal parties while we were there. We had an excellent dinner at Ristorante Townhouse Caffe. The chef is a Scot with an interesting take on Italian cuisine.
