We were in Pienza last May. The weather went from rain to sunny and everything in between. While walking around we encountered three different bridal parties while we were there. We had an excellent dinner at Ristorante Townhouse Caffe. The chef is a Scot with an interesting take on Italian cuisine.

Nice Tim. Yes, engagement and bridal photography is big all over Italy these days. Sometimes there are lines of them waiting for the premiere spots in Flerence Rome and Milan. Big business it seems.
Out and about in Parma today just doing my thing. This lovely Muslim Woman caught my eye. Her scarf was a perfect complement to the background. She was a fast walker so I only had one chance to get the shot.
Morning out to Ragged Top mountain just north of Tucson AZ. It is Spring and the flowers are in bloom, the Ocotillo (red) flowers are very nice and draw in the hummingbirds, Tucson is a flyway, and the yellow Palo Verde flowers that are nice to see but make so many of us miserable with seasonal allergy. In between sneezes this is a bit of what I saw in the morning light. At just the right "decisive" moment the Ocotillo flowers take on an intense red glow in the morning light, ringing the feeding bell for the hummingbirds, and oooh ahh for the photographer. It helps when the flowers are fresh as the flowers persist for some days, fresh color, The why of I was there. Photos captured with M11 EV1 and Leica apo summicron 50 mm. The apo summicron is an amazing scenery lens, so sharp and so almost medium format, it is my central travel lens, my prime prime......

Leica M11, 50mm Summilux FLE CF II
This shot is perfect. Color harmony with her gait composition is sublime.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I am pleased people are enjoying the image.
Mostly good fortune combined with a little perseverance. I saw her walking down the street. So I put myself well in front of her and kept pace until I found a background I thought worked well for her. I then waited, pre-focused and took the shot as she walked by unaware of what I was doing. Sometimes things just work out. I call it the Forest Gump effect....😜

Best shots usually are taken when stuff happens too fast to process but the body reacts instinctively as a result of training. There's an aspect of good fortune but you had the awareness, patience, and reaction to capture that luck. Also Forrest Gump was extremely skilled due to resilience and extreme repetition!
The first image is actually a reflection from a highly reflective window with security bars over it. I framed an waited for some subjects of interest and good relation to each other. I took about 25 attempts. This being the best. This guy is probably wondering what I am doing taking a picture almost pressed up against the window.
The second is B&W of a poster with a random guy just passing by. It is located on a shop wall in the main walking only shopping area of the historic center of Parma.
Both M11 with the 50mm Summilux current release.
I have to take my Wife to Bologna to a business event and then to catch a flight to the USA for two weeks. I will stay behind and hold down the Italian side. But, since I will be in the center of Bologna anyway I will probably take the time to have lunch, visit my friends at the Leica Store there, and do some exploring, and photography in the historic area.
